Privacy Policy

When you create an account we collect your email address, display name, and (if you provide them) location, experience level, and bio. When you use the platform we store the data you enter — tank profiles, water parameters, checklists, journal entries, photos you upload, and AI scan results.

We automatically collect basic usage data including when you last signed in, which features you use, and aggregate usage counts so we can enforce plan limits. We do not collect your browsing history outside TankDeep.

We use your data to provide the service: saving your tanks, showing your journal, running AI scans, and enforcing plan limits. We use aggregate anonymous data to improve the product. We send you transactional emails (password resets, billing receipts, important account changes) but never marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not train AI models on your content. We do not read your photos or notes for any purpose other than providing the feature you requested.

When you use AquaBot or the AI scanners, your text and images are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) for processing. Anthropic does not train on our API traffic. After the AI returns a response, we store the result in your account history so you can reference it later. You can delete any scan from your history at any time.

We use Supabase for database hosting, Vercel for web hosting, Stripe for payments, and Anthropic for AI. Each of these providers has their own privacy policy governing how they handle data we send them. We do not share data with any third party beyond what is strictly required to operate the service.

You can access, export, or delete your data at any time from the account settings page. When you delete your account, all your data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days. If you are in the EU, UK, or California, you have additional rights under GDPR and CCPA including the right to request a data export in machine-readable format.

We use a single essential cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.

TankDeep is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

If we make material changes to this policy we will notify you by email and via an in-app notice at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
