Apple snail

Very large snail that can grow to 10cm in diameter. Will eat live plants so not suitable for planted tanks at all. Hardy and interesting but requires careful population management. Different from mystery snail.

Plants, algae, vegetables, sinking foods. Will eat most aquatic plants making it unsuitable for planted aquariums.

Effective scavenger and algae cleaner but will damage and destroy live plants in any planted aquarium setup.

Prolific breeder that can overpopulate rapidly. Lays large pink egg clutches above the waterline. Remove clutches to control.
