African butterfly fish

Fascinating surface dwelling predator with pectoral fins shaped like butterfly wings. Ambush predator that lunges at insects on the water surface. Jumps extremely well so a tight lid is essential.

Live insects, freeze dried crickets, floating pellets. Only eats from the water surface. Feed once daily.

Has been bred in captivity but requires specific conditions and expert level care to accomplish successfully.
